Obituary of Timothy Darnell Pospychala

Timothy Darnell Pospychala was born on October 15, 1967 in Milwaukie, Wisconsin. He was the 4th of 5 children born to Robin Wilber Emmerton and William Emmerton. His older 3 sisters were Tina, Sue, and Heidi; his younger brother is Aaron. He talked a lot about his dog "Luke," a golden lab who was his best friend. He grew up in Milwaukie and attended school there until he was 15 years old. He travelled to the Seattle area to live with his Uncle and Aunt, Parnell and Adeline Wilbur. He attended Ballard HS and received his Graduate Equivalency Degree. He went to work for Wade Brown in the construction industry. When he attended worship in Lynwood, he was introduced to Rock Borchardt, who introduced Tim to his daughter, Paula Marie Delfosse (7.14.1969). Paula’s family lived in Everett, Washington. Their first kiss was at sunset at Mukilteo Beach and that was the beginning of their life together. They were married on January 1, 1990 in Seattle. They made their home in Lynnwood. Together they have three children: Mitchell Alan was born on March 27, 1988; Natasha Marie was born on September 27, 1991, and Kelsey Renee was born on October 18, 1998. The family moved to Tacoma in October 2000. Mitchell and Natasha attended Washington HS. Mitchell graduated in 2006 and Natasha graduated in 2010. Kelsey attends Evergreen Middle school. Paula was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for over 20 years. She now works at Old Navy stores. The family enjoyed trips and camping. Tim was an outdoor person and shared that with his family. He always had firewood for campfires in his truck. On one camping trip at Lake Goodwin, he discovered they had forgotten the ingredients for s’mores. He made a special trip to the nearest convenience store to get the chocolate bars, graham crackers, and marshmallows for his kids. He enjoyed sleeping next to the campfire with his wife all night and keeping the fire going till the next morning. He continued to work for over 20 years in construction with Wade. He enjoyed working with Wade. The kids came to know him as Uncle Wade. Tim was the project foreman and manager for many large construction projects. The latest one was an apartment complex in north Seattle. He was a "do-er" and a "go-er" always working on projects. He was rebuilding and roofing another house. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his Babies (his houseplants). His son said that he had a "get it done" attitude about everything. Any problem brought to his attention did not go unsolved. Tim always had an answer for everything. He was a “Mr. Fix-it.” Tim made a few trips back to Wisconsin with his children. Through the years he has kept in close contact with his parents and his sisters and brother. Tim lo-o-o-ved to sing. He’d sing in the shower and on the job. A short time ago, he and Paula were at a Karaoke Bar. He got up and sang "With a little help from my Friends." The crowd went wild and cheered him on for the encore. He then sang another one of his favorites: "Hotel California" by the Eagles. Tim always had a "sweet tooth" and enjoyed Crunch, Skors, 100 Grand candy bars, and Strawberry Whoppers. At DQ, he always ordered a Blizzard with Heath candy bars. Tim loved to laugh and smile. He enjoyed playing pranks on everyone. There’s a family story about buying pumpkins at Wal*Mart where Paula was set up by Tim. Before the manager showed up, Tim revealed his prank and everyone around had a good laugh, even Paula. He would even prank the kids by putting a rubber band on the kitchen sink sprayer so that when they turned it on they'd get sprayed by water. This happened anytime Tim was left in the house for too long. He was a Green Bay Packers fan without a doubt. He had the cheese-head hat for years. One year he showed his true colors. Tim had Natasha dye his hair green and yellow. He took a lot of pride in his team and never missed a game. He also loved to play horse shoes and built a horseshoe pit at his home. Tim was proud of his pit. He'd always invite his friends to come over and join him in a game of horseshoes. Tim loved Basset Hounds (he always said Paula had basset hound eyes.) He had wanted one for years, but Paula wasn't sold on the idea until a close family friend, Ashley, had puppies to give away. Paula finally gave in and bought Tim his first basset hound puppy. From the moment Tim picked out his new pup, he knew the perfect name for him, "Bull" (that’s the shortened version.) He loved his children. One thing they remembered was the forts and play houses he built for them with windows and doors, and the fun things they enjoyed. One day while they were swimming in the river, young Mitchell got caught in the current. Tim handed Natasha off to someone and swam fast to reach Mitchell and bring him back. Tim was called "Fish" from the time he was a little boy. The family caught him jumping from the sink, over the toilet, into a bathtub filled with water. BBQ-ing was always in season for Tim and the family; rain or shine, even when there was snow on the ground. He would do anything for Paula and the children. He was proud of their accomplishments. Mitchell is running his own moving company. Natasha is living in her apartment in Tacoma and is working at the Dollar Tree. The family was out disc golfing in Steilacoom. Afterwards they happened to go into a Dollar Tree store, where Natasha soon received a job. Kelsey is doing great in school. She is working on getting a scholarship for college. Tim loved to swim, fish, and camp. On the last weekend in June, he and his close buddies, Gary and Mick, had gone to Moses Lake and the Potholes area to go fishing for "walleye" fish. While they were preparing lunch, Tim went swimming. He dived into the water and struck his head on rock and died suddenly in the early afternoon of Sunday, July 1, 2012. Tim was a loving husband and father to his children. He had many friends who respected his style of family life. He was a happy person and enjoyed his work and recreation. He was always doing special things for Paula. He was filled with life and enthusiasm, positive and happy. Paula and his children, his family and friends, have many wonderful memories of times being with Tim. He will always be loved, cherished, respected, and remembered by Paula his beloved wife and partner for nearly 26 years, His children: Mitchell, Natasha, and Kelsey His mother: Robin Wilber; his Father William Emmerton Sisters: Tina, Sue, Heidi Brother: Aaron Several nieces and nephews Many friends, co-workers, neighbors.
