Michael & Chris, I will SO miss your dad - my 'Li'l Bro' but he lives on in both of you. Each of you have some of his strongest traits. Your ambitions, sense of humor and love of camping and family to name just a few. I see Alan in you both and love you, as I did him. Alan & I are close in age like the two of you. As you know, he and I were dependant upon each other growing up and in our early adult years, when he had you and I had Ronny. So be kind to each other and be close. Nothing takes the place of a sibling. Together there's NOTHING you can't overcome. All My Love, Aunty Rox

Michael and Christopher and family, Your Dad and I were very good and 'special' friends back in the mid 1980's... You may remember me..I hope you will. I have never forgotten your father or you two..I was so sorry and very sad to read of this news in the paper, and needless to say, so many good memories about Alan have been coming back to me each day since. I understand your loss, as I lost my mother to cancer in 1996; She was only 56 years old as well. Just really thinking of you at this time, Michael and Christopher, Take Care of yourselves; Your Dad will always be with you. ~Cindy~~

My heart goes out to all of you. Alan was so loved and will be really missed. No one's death comes to pass without making some impression, and those close to Alan inherit part of the liberated soul and become richer in humaness. He is with our LORD JESUS CHRIST now 'Where there is no more pain, and no more tears' ( Rev 21:4) Thank-you GOD for the time we each had with Alan. Love, Tina

I am so sorry for your loss. Alan and I worked together at the State Treasurer's Office for many years. As young single parents we had a lot in common. We dated briefly when Mike and Chris, and my Jimmy, were just little guys. We remained friends. Alan had a wonderful sense of humor. The last time I saw Alan was at my retirement luncheon where we reminisced about the nicknames he bestowed on staffers in our office and the cartoon characters he drew of us. Syscat, Crash Nakashima, Sang TranCisco, and Bear are among my favorites!

Sending heartfelt sympathy to family and friends. Alan and I worked together for 8 years in the State Treasurer's Office. He helped me learn all about systems programming. Rest in Peace, Syscat!
