Obituary of Wilburn Lee Rea

Lee was born at this grandmother's house in Prescott, OR on 3/16/1929. He passed away peacefully at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, WA on 9/13/2009. Lee is survived by a daughter June Wade, of Rochester, WA, a son Tom Rea, of Puyallup, WA, and a sister and brother-in-law Patsy and Tom Tomlinson, both of Hillsboro, OR. He served 4 years in the U.S. Army, serving two of those years in Korea. Lee worked in car sales for 30 years for Chevrolet/Oldsmobile all over Western Washington including Port Townsend and North Bend. He then decided to change up the pace and bought a bar in Seattle, where he created the Off Ramp Cafe, a popular night club in the late 80's and 90's. He enjoyed talking with the people at the club. Folks will probably remember him strolling downtown Seattle with his faithful Australian Shepherd dog Fred, and in later years when he moved to Olympia. Lee settled in Olympia at the Boardwalk Apartments for the last 10 years of his life. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, 9/26/09 and 11:00 am, at New Heart MCC/UCC. The address is 759 S. 45th St. Tacoma, WA 98418
