Obituary of Gary Wayne Stark

Gary Wayne Stark Gary was born on September 14th, 1954 in Eugene, Oregon and left us December 6th, 2009 from injuries sustained in a traffic accident in Sumner Washington. He is survived by: his wife Chris Stark and five children. Rick Claflin of Spokane, Washington, Brandi Stark of Auburn Washington, Heather Corso of Tacoma Washington, Hillary Stark of Auburn Washington and Craig Stark of Sumner Washington; grandchildren Angel Kaser, Anna Stark, Adam Stark, Raelynn Claflin, Cassandra Claflin; and a brother Randy Horan of Kent. Gary was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to fish, camp and was an accomplished outdoorsman. He loved Westport and enjoyed spending vacation time there. Gary was a loyal NASCAR fan and could talk about the circuit, drivers and races for hours. He had an incredibly talented mind for repairing mechanical things. He worked for many years at Sportsworld, an entertainment center located in Federal Way. If it had an engine, Gary was confident he could fix it. Gary’s kind soul and generous spirit was known and treasured by all who knew him. He was generous to a fault and would selflessly help anyone in need even while neglecting his own. He had a quick wit, awesome sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He is and was “the life of the party”. He loved to cook and passed that love on to his son Craig. Gary touched so many lives that he will be deeply missed.
