Betty: I'm sorry for your loss, and that Barney had to suffer. It seems like we should have some golden years of retirement and Barney's reward was cut kind of short. I was able to see him at Allenmore last fall while he was still the man I knew and liked. I prefer to remember people as they were when in life (happy and in good health). Unfortunately today I have another appointment at 1 PM, so I won't be able to offer support at this service. I was glad to know Barney and considered him a friend. -Lew

Barney had the greatest sense of humor and when I came to Power/Generation he made me feel so welcome as a co-worker. I missed him after he retired. May your memories of Barney be with you forever.

Dear Michelle and Family, My deepest prayers and condolonces go out to you during your time of grief and sorrow. I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Barney through being great friends, no more like a sister, with Michelle. The only memory that stands out to me of Mr. Barney is his sense of humor. Whenever I'd come to their house, he wouldn't say to much but out of nowhere have some type of quick comeback joke to make us laugh. Michelle, you know I love you dearly and I am here for you whenever you need me. Sincerely, Rebekah Jackson

Dad, I remember the first day I was introduced to you and was told to call you Barney, but I never did, I called you dad and you excepted it like you did me. I miss coming over watching westerns and old movies with you. I miss our talks but I know you are at peace. I know our time together was short but the impression you have left on me will last a life time. Dad thank you and love you. Your extended family son Tracey J.

I remember how I felt the day I was first introduced to Barney Miller. I was told to call him Barney but from day one I called him dad and you know what he never asked me to call him anything else. It felt so natural and the words came easy to me to say. There are some people that you meet in life and you fill a connection, a bond and that is what I felt from DAD. He embrassed me with open arms and heart and I became another son, a son in his heart.

Barney was a very caring person. He had a way of helping others without making them feel like a lesser person - his heart was huge. I'm glad I had the opportunity to know and work with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. Gina

Betty and Children - Am so sorry to hear of Barney's passing. When I worked with him, he always had a special laugh and smile. Remember whenever he went to Mossyrock and made sidetrip to Stewart's Meats and brought me beef jerky or east of the montains and brought me apples. He always listened and knew when something was troubling you. He was one of my special friends. I am so glad I knew him.
