Obituary of Ernest Marvin Terry

Ernest M Terry, born 8-17-1926 in Morristown New Jersey He passed away 6-12-2012 in Lakewood WA after a long struggle with Asbestosis. He served in the navy in World War II aboard the USS Stoddard. He worked for Olin Matheson and Western Ammunition while in Illinois When the family moved to Washington in 1970 Ernie and his wife Shirley owned and operated a small Fish & Chips restaurant in Lakewood. He was an avid fisherman, built and flew Free-flight model airplanes and loved to tinker with anything we brought him. Old fishing reels, knives, rusty broken hammers. He made small trinket/jewelry boxes, wind chimes and many other things. He is survived by his sister, Diana C Terry of Scarsdale NY, His son, Phillip C. Terry of Tacoma, his daughter, Diana L Terry of Puyallup, and his very loved grandson, Jason Livingston of Livonia MI. He will be celebrated and honored at The Hideaway Bar and Grill (formerly Bourbon Street) in Lakewood, WA on Wednesday June 20th from 5-7 pm.
