Lloyd and Bernice Hammond lit a candle

Don't grieve for me, now that I'm free, I'm following the path God has laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, and I've turned my back to leave it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks undone must stay that way, I found my peace at the close of the day. If my passing has left a void, please fill it with remembered joy. Lift up you heats and share with me, God wants me now and he's set me free.

Brother, Lloyd Hammonds (daughter Cindy) and wife Bernice wanted me to share 2 poems with everyone. The first one is: MY FIRST CHRISTMAS IN HEAVEN I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below, With tiny light, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow. I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart, But I am not so far away, we really aren't apart. Please love and keep each other, as I pray for you to do, For I can't count the blessings of love, God has for each of you. So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away the tear, Remember, I'm spending Christmas in Heaven this year. The second one is my favorite: Don't grieve for me, now that I'm free, I'm following the path God has laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, and I've turned my back to leave it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks undone must stay that way, I found my peace at the close of the day. If my passing has left a void, please fill in with remembered joy. Lift up your hearts and share with me, God wants me now and he's set me free. To a wonderful Uncle, please look down on us and guide us along the right path. Love you always, Cindy

Uncle Stuart you will be truly missed. We will always remember the stories you shared of the woods with us. That one last big buck or the one you could reel in. What a life our dear uncle. We love you lots. Ray and Bev

My real Grandpa, Grandpa Bob, died when I was really young. I had no idea until a few years ago that Grandpa Stuart wasn't my real Grandpa. It was sort of normal in my family to have more than 2 sets of grandparents. I had grandmas Lillian, Patty and Mary and grandpas George, Bob, and Stuart. When I finally asked why I had more than one, my mom told me that Grandpa Stuart wasn't my real grandpa. Then I got a little weirded out for a second, but I said oh well. Grandpa Stuart helped raise me. I had a dream about Grandpa just after his passing. I was at the house I grew up in and it was empty. I was moving into it with my boyfriend and we were moving things in like small tables, bookshelves, and putting things on them. While we're unpacking things, I hear a knock on the door. I open it and it was grandpa. I looked at him for a second and then started crying and gave him a hug. He asked me why I was crying, well actually he asked if Richard (my boyfriend) and I got into a fight. When I woke up it just surprised me that he didn't understand why I was crying when I saw him. He didn't understand because he doesn't want us to be sad for him. He's ok and he's happy and he's doing very well :)

We are really sorry for your loss. We feel really bad that we can't afford to be there to share in the celebration of the life of Uncle Stewart.
