Obituary of Andre M. Horne

Sunrise 7/26/64 ~ Sunset 11/9/09 Andre’ was born July 26, 1964 in Tacoma, Washington to Rev. Dr. Charles and Johnnie L. Horne. He passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2009 in Federal Way, Washington. Andre’ attended Washington State University and obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Dre’ was an avid sports fan and could always be called upon to recite sports facts and trivia. He enjoyed watching college and professional football. As alumni of Washington State University, he enjoyed watching his home team the Cougars. He also enjoyed other college teams such as the Michigan Wolverines. His favorite professional teams were the Seattle Seahawks and the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed reading novels and various materials. Steven King was one of the many authors he enjoyed. Andre was employed at Triwest Health Alliance. He worked as a Customer Service Representative, addressing client and healthcare provider questions regarding medical and prescription benefits for military, retirees and family members. As a young man, Dre’ attended the St. John Baptist Church where his family worshipped. On August 12, 1979, he was baptized and attended Sunday School with his family. Andre’ will be dearly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his parents, Rev. Dr. Charles A. and Johnnie L. Horne; 3 brothers, Charles V. (Sandra), Michael A., Roderik Horne; nephew, Daniel Horne; niece, Faith Horne; aunts, Jessie Spencer, New London, NC, Mary Nunn, Birmingham, AL, Ola Shelton (Dr. J. Vincent Shelton) Reno, NV, Betty Jean Larkin (Henry), Tacoma, WA; uncles, Rev. Roosevelt Horne, Albemarle, NC, Clifford Campbell (Tessie), Reno, NV; numerous extended family and friends. Service to be held 11AM Saturday, 11/21/2009 at St. John Church Transformation Ministries Intl., 2001 S. J. St, Tacoma, WA 98405. Private Entombment will occur at Calvary Cemetery, Tacoma, WA. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008.
