Obituary of Jonathan Chanel Frank Thomsen

Celebrating the life of our Dearest and beloved Brother, Jonathan Chanel Frank Thomsen. He was born March, 22nd 1984 and raised in American Samoa, hailed from the village of Tafuna. He was born to his biological mother, the late, Judith Theresa Thomsen-Liua and was adopted at birth by our Grandparents, the late Tina and Frank Uialatea-Thomsen. Jonathan was raised in a strong Catholic family and church by devout catholic parents. He was raised as the youngest of his siblings (which would be our mother, aunties, uncle etc) and the oldest to us, his biological siblings. He received his education in St. Theresa's Elementary in Leone, A.S. in his early years and later Tafuna high school. He moved to Hawaii in 2002 and would reside there until 2004 where the family uprooted from Hawaii to Seattle, Washington. Washington will later become their home away from home. Jonathan was employed at various logistics jobs and was known to work dutifully. He is survived by his siblings, Frances H. Thomsen, Antonia C. Thomsen, Vernon F. Thomsen, Faith E. Thomsen, Joseph A. Thomsen, and Ali’itasi Bob, nieces and nephews. He has his many hānai brothers and sisters, you know who you all are. He loved each and everyone of you. He was the rock of this family, protective, strong and fearless yet a gentle giant at heart, as evident by the love he has expressed in his life time, especially for his nieces and nephews. The pain of your absence is surely felt by all you leave behind but we can lean on God's promise of that heavenly reunion. So until that time dear brother, We Love you Forever.
