Obituary of Maria Panganiban Luna

Mary was born on June 20, 1936. She peacefully passed away on February 21, 2023. Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Bienvenido Quion Luna, her parents Essie Worrell & Tomas Panganiban, adoptive parents Florentina Panganiban & Apolinar Garcia, brother Florencio/Enciong/Ted, and sister Maura. She is survived by her daughter Maribel & her husband Manny, son Albert & his wife Wilyn, daughter Myrna & her husband Eddie, son Nelson & his wife Liezl, grandchildren Karen & Allan Palma, Joven & Ola Cantos,  Ailyn & Franco Roco, JA, Almae, Allan Rey, Mara, Andre, Angela, Angelina & Bien, great grandchildren Colyn, Jacob & Jio, Mary’s half-brothers & sisters, and other relatives & friends.  

Mary was a stylish and classy lady. In the Philippines, she was the soloist of the Rosary Parish Church Orchestra for so many years. When she came to the US, she worked as a nursing assistant until the time when she retired.  

Following Mary’s wishes, there is no scheduled viewing. Memorial celebration will be held in the Philippines at a later date and time.  Mary was a very special person to her family and friends. Her memories will remain forever in our hearts.  

Mary’s family would like to thank relatives and friends, and the wonderful and caring nurses & assistants, and management & staff of Eliseo Retirement Community..
