Obituary of Barbara Louise Sarver

Barbara Louise Sarver, age 93, of Tacoma, WA passed peacefully on Nov. 18, 2022.  She is predeceased by her Husband, William “Mel” Sarver and Son, Steven Sarver.  She is survived by her Son, David Sarver; the Mother-of-her-Grandchildren, Kathleen Herrmann; Granddaughter, Heather Skrnich (Chris Skrnich); Grandson, Michael Sarver (Krista Sarver); and Great Grandchildren Huluta Sarver, Freya Sarver and Hailey Skrnich.

Barbara was a woman of boundless energy, never ceasing to welcome and always had a spare seat at her table.  She was a patron of the arts, loved traveling and might have been known to gamble… just a little.  

Barbara was an excellent cook, be it gravy, green bean water or rhubarb pies.  It just might be where her son, David, picked it up.  She was a woman of strong principles, yet was flexible and willing to grow with a changing society and evolving family.  

Barbara was, by all definitions, a woman born before her time and her razor-sharp wit, charisma and full-bodied laugh will live on in our memories of her.

Services are to be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Thursday, December 8^th, 2022 at 11am followed by a reception at the home of Kathleen Herrmann.
