Dad,
It took us a while, but we finally got together and said our final goodbyes. It was gratifying to know that we were able to spread your ashes exactly per your wishes. You are free now. Free to make your way to the ocean and explore the world. I'm sure you were comforted by the large gathering of family and friends that came to say their goodbye. I expect we will be crossing paths when I'm out for a ride. I'll be sure to say hello and would appreciate any help if it looks like I'm having trouble getting through the water.
I miss you lots and I know both Alex and Spencer do too. Thank you again for being a great dad and role model.
With all my love...

Dad, you’ve always been my hero. You were the first male figure I looked up to. From working your way through college to provide a better life for your family while holding a full-time job, to piling the entire family in the station wagon for camping trips near and far.
You and Mom both instilled the values of honesty, hard work, common sense, and the love of family. These are the same values passed onto my own family using you as my model.
Many years ago, you got me an interview at Boeing with the advice “I got you the interview, but it is up to you to sell yourself”. Well, I’d like to think that is exactly what I did because I did get the job. I started at the bottom, I think at the time, one of the lowest paying jobs they had. But again, came more good advice “Work hard, and never discuss religion, politics or your wages with anyone at work”. I took this all to heart and followed your instructions, and while raising a family I have been am to have successful career, and been able to enjoy my work, but also the fruits of my labor.
Funny faces and your silly sense of humor to be bring a smile whether to the child or the child in each of us will be truly missed. So often we forget to laugh and laugh at ourselves. You reminded us to this a lot. It makes me smile just thinking about it.
For all you have given to me, I am forever indebted. I love you Dad. Tell Mom hi for me…I miss her and now also will miss you every day.
Love always, Stacy

Dad,
You were the best Dad ever! Your humor and whit was endless! Always the jokester! You were the happiest when family and friends were around, so you could entertain them. You taught us so much, like working hard and were thrilled when achievements were met. You were a wonderful Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather! You had a special place in your heart for all the babies. Thank you so much, for all the wonderful memories that I will forever cherish. I love you Dad and will miss you dearly!

Dad,
Thank you for being a wonderful father, grandfather and example for all of us. Even these last, difficult years you were able to keep a positive outlook and never lost your humor. I'll miss card tricks, endless photos and good-natured mischief. I feel fortunate Spencer and Alex had so many good years getting to know and love you. We'll try to take care of Liz as well as she took care of you. I'll miss you, but will always keep you in my heart and know you're in a better place.
