Obituary of Patrice Ann Savarino

Patrice Ann Savarino was born on February 24, 1958 in Lincoln Nebraska and passed away on August 9, 2021 in Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington. She lived in Reseda, California with her loving family : parents Richard and Bonnie (Craft) Campbell, siblings Linda, Darwin and Richard. They were a loving and caring family who ensured they were always there for each other. After two years of dating, Patrice agreed to marry Domenico Savarino. They then started their journey of love. After being married for six months, Patrice was able to to join Domenico in Germany where she came over to a different world, different language, and different lifestyle. They overcame the differences together. This happened three more times until they settled in Washington state. Patrice was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Most important role she had was best friend in life to Domenico. She had many hobbies that she loved. They included knitting, crocheting, quilting, collecting old sewing machines and making treasures with them. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, ensuring she made life long memories with them. They always knew she would be there for them. Her love was endless and she never complained. In the end, her illness did not result in a lot of pain. It came on quickly, without notice. She was a fighter and now she is at rest. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten. A message from Domenico: "I could look at those beautiful brown eyes forever. Her smile would melt your heart. If you're like me, you know you won't be able to touch her, hold her, or hear her beautiful voice. I know I can see her in my mind and feel her spirit next to me forever. I am thankful that we did not wait to celebrate our love. After raising our children, we made sure to celebrate us by making memories. On our anniversary, June 12th, we would embark on a two week trip and travel anywhere, just to see the country and make memories together. Most of the time we would simply celebrate our wonderful life together by spending quality time. Simply holding hands, going for walks, just talking to each other are the times I will remember and cherish most. I have physical items like pictures and letters to look back on so that will bring me comfort. I know if you knew her or if she has touched your life in anyway, just remember that her spirit is never far away. She will be missed every day, night, and minute. I will celebrate holidays, everyday with life as in the past, looking forward to when I can see her again. Marriage is a journey with no destination. Like a wedding ring, no start or end. Life is like a roller coaster ride, full of ups and downs as you hold on and scream at the top of your lungs. When it is over, you get back on and do it again. A little wiser, with more understanding, never forgetting, just cherishing the moments. Domenico loves Patti forever!"
