He was actively involved in Freemasonry. He was initiated by Shangri-La Lodge No. 196, FAAM in Tagum, Davao del Norte where he served as Worshipful Master in 1978. He was conferred 32nd Degree Master of the Royal Secret by the Davao Bodies, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in 1976. After raising his children and retiring from his career as a successful businessman, he and his wife moved to the United States to live with his children and grandchildren. He was always the life of the party and enamored us with his sense of humor, wit, and charm while singing his favorite songs from Perry Como and Frank Sinatra.
