Obituary of Gerardo Abrina

We lovingly remember the life of our beloved patriarch, Gerardo Abrina. He was born on October 2nd, 1942 in Mangatarem, Pangasinan, Philippines. He then moved to Panabo, Davao del Norte where he grew up and received education. He moved to Davao City, Philippines where he met his wife Eleuteria and raised their five children together.

He was actively involved in Freemasonry. He was initiated by Shangri-La Lodge No. 196, FAAM in Tagum, Davao del Norte where he served as Worshipful Master in 1978. He was conferred 32nd Degree Master of the Royal Secret by the Davao Bodies, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in 1976. He was invested with the rank and decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 1996.

After raising his children and retiring from his career as a successful businessman, he and his wife moved to the United States to live with his children and grandchildren. He was always the life of the party and enamored us with his sense of humor, wit, and charm while singing his favorite songs from Perry Como and Frank Sinatra. On June 23rd, 2021, he passed away surrounded by his wife and family. He leaves behind a legacy of successful children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Eleuteria; his children Rolando, Raul, Geraldine, Theresa, and Anna Liza and their spouses; and his many grandchildren--Gerard, Nicko, Paul, Miggy, Gabby, C.J., Patrick, Abby, Errol, and Rhian.
