I am very thankful I got to see Phyllis at my Grandma's funeral. I have a lot of good memories of this kind lady going back to the 80's. She was always very kind to me. Sending condolences to family and friends!

Thinking of you, Grandma, as the holidays approach. Calvin looked at your photo just now and said, "She's verrrry pretty." I love you and miss you every single second.

Crystal, Kaitlyn, Allison, Emelia, Audrey, Christina, Gabrielle, Lauren, Sierra, Priscilla, Jesse, Andy, Caroline, Rebel, Haywood, Cole, and Calvin,
Yesterday while I was spending the day with Rebel and Woody my heart was so full. Time with them is just the very best. It made me think of how special you all were to grandma. How you filled her heart with so much love and joy. There really is nothing like it and grandma was so lucky to have you all. I love you guys and am so thankful that we have each other. Not just now, but all the time.

We will miss (Great-)Grandma Phyllis so much. She left us with a lifetime of happy memories and made her family feel unconditionally loved. We will be reminded of her each time we visit Alki beach, put black pepper on our food, see a monorail or say the word “breakfast”. We will honor her legacy by loving each other, being dog people, cheering loudly at children’s sporting events, making huge productions out of Christmases and birthdays, buying only the silliest available greeting cards, and enjoying the occasional strawberry ice cream cone (reminding our children that it used to only cost a nickel). Phyllis ruled.

My Grandma Phyllis was truly the most special person in my life - and to her many friends and family members as well. It was hard not to admire and adore her friendly spirit and ability to make everyone feel at ease around her. Even as kids, us grandchildren would ask to spend our weekends at her house to receive that extra special, signature Grandma Phyllis treatment. You could always count on unlimited snacks, trips to downtown Seattle on the Water Taxi and (of course) Blockbuster movies. Anywhere my Grandma was felt like home to me and West Seattle will forever be a special place I can visit to feel her presence.
She was a Seattle native through and through - loved her Seahawks, trips to Pike Place Market, Black Friday's downtown watching the Macy's Day Parade, and even a good Costco run. I will think of her often as she was the most involved grandparent of anyone I know. Not a single birthday, holiday, graduation or life milestone was spent without her. I'm unsure what those will look like without my Grandma Phyllis and it deeply saddens me that we will no longer share those traditions. I will cherish my memories with her forever and carry her with me always.
I love you Gram. We miss you.

There was never a day that passed that grandma didn't tell her grandkids how much she loved us or how proud she was of us. She was our number one fan. I know a lot of people say they had the best grandma in the world, but I think they're wrong. We had the best grandma. Although your body has left this world, I feel you here with me. I love you and miss you so much, grandma.

I will also never forget how much she loved Ichiro and going to all those Mariners games with her, watching her cheer them on so loudly and proudly. She was their number one fan! Loyal to her Seattle teams for sure.
