OBITUARY for LOLA H RITTER

We sadly said good bye to Lola H. Ritter the morning of April 20, 2021. She passed peacefully in her bed at home in Lakewood, WA having celebrated her 92nd birthday just two months prior. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth J. Ritter, MD, five children, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Lola was born in Massachusetts to Italian immigrants. She grew up an only child and always wanted lots of children. She dearly loved her family and was the kind of wife and mom everyone wishes they could have. She loved all animals, including all the birds and squirrels she fed in her yard. 

Birthdays and holidays were always a true celebration because Lola was all about family. She was a wonderful cook and a gifted baker who enjoyed using her skills to entertain and care for her family and friends. She was genuinely thoughtful and generous, always concerned for others. We remember her with a smile that twinkled in her eyes and a sense of humor that never disappointed and could often catch you off guard. She was one of those rare people who could lift your spirits with her wit and positivity without even knowing it.

Lola had a strong faith in God and always said that she knew there was a good place waiting for her. They are blessed to now have the wife, mother, Nana and friend we are left to miss so deeply.
