Obituary of Don Wells

Don was born on 8/27/1954 in Tacoma, Washington, and passed away at home on 3/27/2021 in Tacoma. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Julie and his children Scott, Brent, Trisha, and Michael, his several grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.

In his younger years, when Don wasn't on the water, you'd find him in the bowling alley or in a poker hall. He was loved by friends and family in both communities. In his bowling career, Don carried a 200+ average and rolled 2 300s in his career.

Don knew all of his neighbors and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He took care in everything he did and his attention to detail shined in his hedges. If you were ever looking for Don, while he would always call you back, your best bet was out on the Carbon river or out on Silver or Hearts lake. He wasn't just an avid fisherman; he had a gift. He loved the outdoors and wildlife, and he always had a deep connection with animals, whether they be cats, dogs, squirrels, or the hummingbirds that came to visit his front porch. It’s no wonder he always came home with fish, they were practically dying just to come back with him. Don built deep and lasting relationships with people and animals alike, and his many friends and family members feel his loss deeply.

Don was kind, caring, goofy, and all-around a good man. He will be missed by so many.
