Obituary of Sharon Lynn Albertson

It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the unexpected passing of my precious wife, Sharon Lynn Albertson on February 6, 2021 of cardiac arrest. She has been in the tender loving care of the nurses and staff in the Briarwood Memory Care unit of Timber Ridge at Talus. She was a devoted mother to daughters, Tami and Nancy from a previous marriage.

Sharon was born in Butte, Montana in 1937 to Charles and Helen (Hurley) Thomas. She went to school in Seattle, graduating from Roosevelt High School and briefly attending the University of Washington. She was an Honored Queen of Bethel 28 of Job's Daughters. She had a number of jobs but the many years she spent as Office Manager at Mother's Cookies distribution center in Kent were her most rewarding.

In 1978, Sharon met Larry at a dance, fell in love, and after a brief courtship they eloped to Hawaii. Besides her ever increasing family, she loved to walk at least 10,000 steps per day, root for the Huskies or Seahawks, and travel. The first dozen years were mostly camping throughout Europe followed by tours to Australia and China. Then she discovered cruising and had sailed on more than 75 cruises before being stopped by Alzheimer's and the pandemic.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Larry, of 42 years; her daughters Tami Terreson (Gregg) and Nancy Schierhorn (Joseph), six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
