Obituary of SaTrisa Michelle Jones Drinker

IN LOVING MEMORY OF

SATRISA MICHELLE JONES DRINKER

SaTrisa Michelle Jones was born October 10, 1966 in Seattle, Washington. This beautiful Angel made her heavenly transition on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:39pm. She was at her home in Tacoma, WA. surrounded by her husband, 4 children, and her 3 eldest granddaughters. They were by her side until the end, as she wished. The family is so blessed to have had those last moments with her.

SaTrisa was born from the union of Diane Kendrick and Roy Marvelle Jones. She was raised with the help of her grandparents Lonnie and Joanna Kendrick, all of whom preceded her in death. SaTrisa grew up in the Central District/Leschi area and attended St. Mary’s, Holy Names Academy, and graduated from Garfield High School. After graduation, she attended Seattle Central Community College.

Brandon Gray was her beloved biological brother. They had a bond beyond words. She was 22yrs his senior and loved and cared for him like he was her own child. He says she was the best sister anyone could ever have! In addition, she had 4 other “brothers” that she grew up with: Michael Trahan, DerWayne Trahan, Donte Robinson, and Craig Taylor.

SaTrisa met and married Darell R. Drinker. In their 34 years together, they raised 4 amazing children: FaShae Unique Simmons, Darell Jentez Drinker, Dajon Royce Drinker, and Brijae Shawanda Drinker.

SaTrisa adored her 10 grandchildren (Kae'jah Unique Duncan, JaChiah Jazzare' Versher, Anaiah Jazzmre' Versher, JaNius J-Sean Marvelle Versher, JaVaris I-Sean Darnell Versher, JaVae'ah JazzUnique SaTrisa Versher, Jaylen Drinker, Miguel Drinker, Javier Drinker and Amaya Drinker), as well as her Godson Tahjon DaShe Thomas.

SaTrisa loved and cared for many children. Her house was always open to younger cousins, brothers, friends of her children and grandchildren; always enjoying the fun and laughter of the people she cared about. Willie “Dub” Drinker was her brother-in-law, but in her eyes, he was like blood. Her love for all of them was beyond measure, so many functions, so many memories that will never be forgotten.

SaTrisa a.k.a. “Juicy Jones” loved family BBQ’s and functions, where she would cook things like gumbo (MooMoo's recipe) and, chicken & dumplings while playing the music she loved. Groups like Mary Mary, Earth Wind and Fire, Isley Bros, Switch, DeBarge, and artists like E-40, Nelly, Tupac, and Jaheem were some of her favorites. Whenever she was with her family, she loved to quote parts from movies and just crack up, especially movies like Life and Tropic Thunder. She was also a big fan of stand-up comedies such as Kings of Comedy.

SaTrisa was also good at handling business affairs and enjoyed joining Darell to navigate while he was driving his truck on long difficult trips in winter.

Juicy Jones' beautiful face and warm memories will never be forgotten. She had so many loved ones and friends who simply adored her and will miss her smile, laugh, hugs, advice, support, and most of all her prayers. To call her a Prayer Warrior would be an understatement! She was truly a child of God and very connected with the Creator.

We appreciate all the prayers, love, and support from everyone in this terrible loss to our family; she was the backbone for so many people. Yet, we draw our strength from The Most High and each other to get through this difficult time. SaTrisa is surely smiling down at all of us with that gorgeous, infectious smile. If you ever received one of her warm hugs, at this very moment picture her hugging you and telling you she is fine and that she loves you!

Blessings...
