Obituary of Wenonah Kathryn Goodwin

In honor of Wenonah Kathryn Goodwin (known by friends as Winnie)

On Wednesday, August 19, 2020, our mom, aunt, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, great aunt, and friend passed away; on to heaven to be with Jesus and others who went before her.

Winnie was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1936. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Agnes Green; her sisters Jacqueline (Jackie) Phelps, LaNora (Sue) Green, and her brother Charles (Chuck) Green. She is survived by her sister A. Patricia (Pat) Roberts; her daughter Susan Winterhalder, daughter Letha Kiewert with her partner William (Bill) Looney, daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Randy Demmon; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Crystal and Brendan Woodward; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Shala and Ryley Schultz; her closest niece Kathleen (Kathy) Roberts and her children Jordan, Austin, Jaleen, and Kaitlyn; and many other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Winnie loved to be with family and friends. She loved to get together for holidays, birthdays, and just to be together. She loved church; especially the music and ministry of the Word and staying to visit and eat with friends. There are many words to describe her; Kind, Compassionate, Friendly, Loving, Creative, Resourceful, Caring, and Courageous are just some of them. She loved to make other people smile and laugh, to help someone on their journey of life, and she was a born leader so she did those things all the time throughout her life. She lovingly touched a lot of people in her long lifetime, made a big difference in a lot of our lives, and will be in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers at this time, please write a tribute and/or add a favorite picture. No memorial service is scheduled due to the pandemic but the family plans to have one at a later date.
