Denise Callaway 67, has gone home to be with the Lord.  She passed after her latest battle with cancer after previous battles with different types of cancer in 1996 and 2010.   Denise was predeceased by her mother Loree Lord, her father Denis Mickey, and husband Robert Callaway.  Denise is survived by her son and daughter in-law Chad and Katie Callaway along with her 4 sibling and their spouses Sheri Swall (Bruce), Robert Mickey (Linda), Todd Lord (Kara), April Lord-Wittig (Michael) and many loving nieces and nephews.  

 

Denise made a large impact wherever she went.  She graduated Clover Park High School in 1971 and stayed friends with some of  her classmates through the years.  She prioritized her family, and was a loving volunteer and worshiper with her church community.  Denise was successful in her professional endeavors whether it be owning a busy restaurant and gift shop, selling real-estate and title insurance, or her true purpose and passion in the fitness world.  She started personal training and competitive body building at the age of 50 after her first bout with cancer.  She went on to win many competitions and change many lives.  She was a sister, mother, mentor, coach, trainer and friend.  She will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched. 

Her memorial will be held on Saturday August 22nd, 11:00am at Puget Sound Foursquare, Tacoma, it will also be streamed live on Denise’s Facebook page.  If you would like to attend in person you must RSVP because of number restrictions.  If have memories,  photos you would like to share or sending your RSVP please email morecaz@gmail.com
