In Loving Memory of Paul Alan Hursh

 

Paul Alan Hursh, born on December 4, 1967, in Nampa, Idaho, passed away early morning on August 11, 2020, in Tacoma, Washington.

Growing up in the beauty of Idaho with his two brothers and two sisters, Paul loved to spend most of his time water skiing, boating, and swimming on Lake Lowell near his family’s home.

After moving to Washington, Paul met and married his wife, Lisa, on February 20, 1991. After eleven years, God blessed Paul and Lisa with their beautiful daughter, Amanda Lynn, on February 28, 2002. The family of three lived in Lakewood and Graham, and Paul worked as a cook and chef in several local restaurants, among them Black Angus in Lakewood and Federal Way and Mama Stortini’s in Sumner. Paul loved NASCAR, Boise State Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, gaming, and music, but most of all playing games with Amanda who also has many fond memories of going to “Daddy-Daughter Dances” with her Papa. Special memories for Lisa include when she and Paul vacationed in Hawaii and when the three of them went to Idaho to visit family there.

Paul is survived by many family members in Idaho: his mother, Eleanor Sagaser; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Clint Hughes; brother, Brent Hursh; sister and partner, Quila Crawford and Steve Hancock; uncle and aunt, Oliver (Paul’s special Uncle O.) and Harriet Hursh; and a niece and nephews.

In addition to Lisa and Amanda, in Washington Paul is survived by his mother-in-law, Anita Franklin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joel and Ramie Franklin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam and Chrisy Franklin; brother-in-law, Larry Franklin; and nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by: grandmother, Lovina Miller; father, Rawleigh Hursh; brother, Ron Hursh; and father-in-law/dad, Larry Franklin.

A small family gathering will be held at the end of this month in remembrance of Paul’s life. Family and friends may wish to plant a tree in Paul’s memory or make a donation to Nativity House in Tacoma, Washington.

Paul, now you are in a better place. We love and miss you and wish you peace and happiness.
