Dale Earl VanDiest, Jr.

Dale Earl VanDiest, Jr. was born in Yakima, Washington on January 20, 1933. His parents were Violet Mae Fredricks VanDiest and Earl VanDiest, Sr. Preceded in death by brother Ken VanDiest, and living sister in law Patricia VanDiest. Living sister Marilyn and her husband Morgan Bates in Port Orchard, Washington. Earl married Marge Thorson in 1953 and they had three beautiful children—son Earl (Skip) VanDiest, living in Gig harbor with Helen Losk and daughter Kimberly and her husband Chet Gartner. Kim gave us two grandchildren; Charlene Houweling and Jason Houweling. Daughter Sally and her husband Dave Winfrey. Sally gave and Dave gave us three grandchildren-John, Jake, and Jessica. Earl was Divorced in 1973 and met Karen Goodro. Karen and Earl married in 1975 and spent the next 45 years building and cruising on boats, hunting, fishing and enjoying a wonderful and full life together. Earl passed away May 29, 2020 of natural causes and will be deeply missed by us all. No services are planned at this time.
