Obituary of Charlotte Maxine Simolke
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Charlotte Maxine Simolke, 77, on April 8th, 2020. Fierce, stubborn, charismatic, wise, regal, loving, a devout Christian, and a woman with a very green thumb. These are but a few attributes of Charlotte Simolke, beloved wife of the late Timothy James Simolke. Charlotte Simolke pioneered a path for women in the Navy. Dedicating over forty years working at Good Samaritan as a nurse, she touched many lives through her consistent care and compassion. She was a stalwart supporter of the church. Among other passion’s, the love for her family was inspirational, always instilling a remarkable moral code in those who would listen. Her fiery nature was exemplified through her red hair. Her infamous walking stick, the importance of antiquing, her cinnamon rolls, among other recipes that she passed down over generations, will be sorely missed but serve as a source of remembrance. Although we may not have her here physically, her spirit will live on, through those she has left a lasting impression upon. The deep love that we have for Charlotte Simolke will live on as she reunites with her lost love
