Obituary of Carl Hector Lambert
Carl H. Lambert born in Boston, Massachusetts, 1934, and passed away on Sunday, February the 23rd, 2020 at the age of 86 in Sumner, Washington.
He leaves behind his wife Mary Jane Lambert, his five children - Carl B Lambert (Bertha), Judy Broadhurst (Sam), Laurie Wood (Steven), Cynthia Day (Late Donald Day), and Erin Lambert, all from Tacoma, Washington. In addition, he has five grandchildren - Paul Kramer (Nicole), Maria Herrera (Sergio), Dustin Day, Kramer Wood, and Conner Wood (Olivia). He also leaves two brothers - Jim Lambert (Marilyn) of Texas and Paul (Bucky) Moricola (Dolores) of North Carolina.
His lifetime passion and love was broadcasting play by play high school football games on the radio for the South Puget Sound League, SPL. This was a position he held for some 40 plus years. He also had the privilege of broadcasting the UPS and PLU college football games on cable television for a nubmer of years. Along with this, he was a high school teacher for the Sumner, Washington School District (retired), and he volunteered in a band playing the trombone.
