Obituary of Evan Stewart Williamson

On Tuesday, January 14, 2020 Evan Stewart Williamson, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away at his home at the young age of 40. Evan will forever be missed by his loving parents, David and Renea Williamson, brother Anthony (wife Karyn, nieces Olivia and Addison), sister Chelsea (niece Paige), brother Donnie (niece Kenadee), sister Jessica and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Born on December 22, 1979 in Tacoma, Washington, Evan was welcomed into the Williamson family with open arms. His older brother, Anthony (age 6 at the time) wished for a dog that Christmas but got a baby brother instead. Evan graduated Lakes High School in June 1998 and continued his education at Clover Park Vocational Technical College where he obtained a certificate in Auto Cad Drafting. In August 1998, Evan was given an amazing opportunity as a machinist at Nicholson’s Engineering. There he learned many skills that he would use throughout his life. After 8 years as a machinist, Evan gained employment with Lemay Enterprises as a preventative maintenance technician. After just 3 years, Evan gained the knowledge and skills needed to become a supervisor. During his time at Lemay he completed many certificates such as CDL license, strata lift and forklift certification, fleet tracker maintenance software and much more. Recently Evan and his team were awarded Top Shop, as well as numerous safety awards.

Evan’s pride and joy was his “son,” Banjo. Anywhere Evan went, Banjo was always close by. Evan loved to spend his free time taking Banjo on long walks, to dog parks or just hanging out at home playing video games and watching football. From a very young age Evan loved the Seattle Seahawks. He was a true fan and never missed a game. Evan had the kindest heart, sweetest temperament and had a huge soft spot for his nieces. Uncle Evan always made sure he got his girls the newest and best presents and would always be there to celebrate with them. Evan loved his family and was a big kid at heart.

A celebration of Evan’s life will be held on Saturday February 1, 2020 at Lakewood Presbyterian Church (8601 104th St S Lakewood, WA 98498) at 2 pm. Please wear your favorite Seattle Seahawks gear or blue and green to honor Evan.
