Obituary of Lawrence Lynnwood Burleigh

Lawrence Burleigh 67, passed away November 15, 2019. Larry was born to Alma and Clarence Burleigh in Tacoma, Washington. Larry joined the coast guard in his young years and was stationed in Westport Washington. When he retired from the Coast Guard he learned the trade of making eye glass lenses which he continued until his retirement. For many years Larry was and active member of the Shrine organization where he enjoyed visiting the children's hospital as one of there clowns. Dad's health had him down a bit after retirement but he did what he could to enjoy the things he loved. Dad loved music. As a bass player he loved playing music with his band Aberlour and with the Country Playboys . His hobbies were model boats and working on RC planes and cars with his son Eric. He loved his dog Bruno and would take him on car rides and spoil him everyday. He loved fishing, being on the water and his Seahawks. Dad had a huge heart and he will be very missed. He is survived by his son Eric and Daughter in Law Jody, son Chris and his brothers Mike and his wife Shirley, Tom and his wife Jinny, Steve and his wife Donna, sister Pat and many grand children, nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, his stepdad Jerry Gerstberger and his brother George. Cremation services are with Edwards Memorial. There will be a celebration of life after the holidays on January 18, 2020 at Eric and Jody's home. Thank you to everyone at Multicare Pulse Heart Institute for there incredible care they gave Dad.
