Obituary of Donald William Moore

Donald William Moore passed away on November 8, 2019 in Gig Harbor, Washington. He was born in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska on June 10, 1934. He married Katherine Noffsinger in 1972, who preceded him in death in 2005. Donald graduated from Grant High School in 1952, and then went on to complete schooling at The University of Washington, Class of 1956. While there he went through the NROTC program. Following this he served four years of active duty, and 5 years of inactive duty with the United States Navy. After his service, he taught elementary school education in University Place, Washington from 1960-1982. He finished his career working for The Department of Social Health Sciences, State of Washington. Donald has been a resident of Gig Harbor since 1965 and was a very active member in the UNiversity Place community and Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church. Don dedicated his life to the service of God and consequently had a very fulfilling life. He is survived by his brother Jim Moore of Aloha, Oregon; nephews, Jeffrey Moore of Tigard, Oregon and Grant Moore of San Diego, California.

A service will be held at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig Harbor, on January 11, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
