Obituary of Barbara L. Anderson

Barbara Lee Anderson was born in Tacoma WA on March 27th, 1934 and passed away on October 26th, 2019. She is proceeded in death by her Husband Reverend Kenneth E. Anderson,  Son Steve Gacek, Daughter Carol Gacek, Stepdaughter Sarah Noman, Foster Son Monty Rue, Grandson James Gacek, Granddaughter Emma Wohlmacher, and brother Don Dilger. She is survived by her son David Gacek (wife Jennie T. Gacek), Daughter Cheryl Gacek,  twelve grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. (She LOVED her grandchildren).

Barbara spent most of her years as a homemaker. She also worked for Boeing for 10 years as a riveter.  Her hobbies included spending times with her friends. Enjoying the wins and losses of local casinos from time to time, playing bridge, watching scary movies, (she would get you hooked on the shows she watched !) She enjoyed coloring (quite good @ it, too ) She played bingo, loved working out @ the gym, loved to take walks and loved taking trips to Ocean Shores and the Tri-cities. Barbara also enjoyed cruises.  She took pride in her beautiful garden, sitting on her back porch soaking in the sunshine and mostly, loved the company of her family. And as recently as two years back, she was an ecstatic and a proud owner of her new  little "red car"...

In Barbara's earlier years, she hunted, fished, camped. She dabbled in a bit of modeling with that infectious smile and learned how to tap dance. Barbara was an active member of St Joseph – St Johns Episcopal Church, Steilacoom, WA.,  for many years plus honored to be  a member of the Daughters of the Kings. She also sang in the church choir.

Barbara was a great cook and will be remembered for her family traditional dish of Pasty, stuffed cabbage and hamburger roll. And, could muster up yummy desserts with whatever she had in her cupboards, from scratch.

Barbara was a very kind, giving, compassionate, loving AND forgiving lady. She embraced and cared for everyone. She would literally do anything for her family and friends.  Barbara took on everyone's worries and concerns... her families'  well being meant the world to her.

Lastly, if she were to say one thing to all of us it would be “Be Kind”...
