Obituary of Kendra Amber Norman

Kendra Amber Norman was born on August 14, 1979 at Madigan Army Medical Center in Fort Lewis, Washington. She grew up in Tumwater, Washington, graduating from Tumwater High School in 1997. She was on the Varsity Fastpitch team. She went on to attend South Puget Sound Community College and Saint Martin’s College. She was blessed with four children and loved being a mom.

 

Kendra worked as a savings counselor for 12 years at Olympia Federal Savings & Loan, and Heritage Bank. She also worked as a substitute teacher in the Thurston County School District while studying to eventually become a full-time teacher.

         

With a passion for all things concerning beauty, Kendra decided to work for Mary Kay. She enjoyed learning about new products and would always educate her friends on exciting new items. It was an exciting day when she received her Red Jacket. 

 

Singing was always a pastime for Kendra. She sang everywhere you could imagine, home, car, work, wherever she could. Kendra found herself auditioning for American Idol and Seattle Stars. She enjoyed R&B, hip hop, Neo soul. You could catch her singing to some of her favorite artist like Whitney Houston and Alicia Keys.

 

A fat girl at heart, Kendra loved food and all things concerning food! Cooking, barbeques, family gatherings… if there was food, she was there.

 

Kendra is survived by her husband, Ty’mon Norman; children Tasia Glover, Zion Norman, Ky’ra Norman, Josiah Mikota; mother, Laurie Middleton; siblings Jason Taylor, William Middleton, III, Isaiah Middleton; In-Laws Russel and Cora Norman; grandparents, Amelia and Rodolfo Rodriguez, Shirley and Gordie Holt; and many more extended family members and friends.

 

Kendra was received by her father, William Middleton Jr., brother, Milton Hopkins; grandparent, James Mikota.
