Obituary of Yuriko Ritchie

Yuriko Ritchie, age 72 passed away peacefully on October 9, 2019 with loved ones by her side. She was born on November 19, 1946 in Okinawa, Japan and was one of seven children.

She leaves behind her son Tom (Kris), daughter Nancy (Dave), three grandchildren and three great grandsons, Jeremy and his wife Mitzy and their son Ezra, Savannah and her husband Rob, Natalee and her husband Asael and their two sons Eli and Noah.

Yuriko was preceded in death by her father Jinsuke and her mother Kiku, sisters Kiyoko and Mieko, and brother Takeo. She is survived by her brother Isamu and sister Haruko and Sadako and their spouses and children, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Known to everyone as Grandma, Yuriko loved sewing, cooking and working in her garden, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, and playing with her great grandchildren. Her sense of humor made her popular with the grandchildren's friends, often times joking around with them and on occasion, flexing her muscles to show everyone how strong she was. She would regularly say to the grandchildren, "I miss you...like a sore thumb" Or "I love you like a sore thumb" and laugh.

Mom/Grandma/GGma (BaBa), there will never be a day that you aren't thought about and missed. We love you!
