Obituary of Glather Katrina Ingram

Glather Katrina Ingram, age 61, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019 surrounded by loved ones.

She was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina where she graduated from White Oak High School and was awarded a basketball scholarship from Elizabeth City State University where she received her undergraduate degree. Katrina loved basketball and was an MVP for ECSU’s women’s team.

Her interests also included reading and singing. She was a professional Gospel singer and founding member of the Gospel Singonaires. Katrina moved to Tacoma, Washington in 1989 and began her professional career in Early Childhood Education. She recently retired as the Director of a childcare center for military families.

Glather is survived by brothers, Ronnie Baker (Sumter, SC) and Mark (Tomika) Evans (Waldorf, MD); sisters, Tanja (Richard) Martin (Sumter, SC), Michelle Evans (Hope Mills, NC) and Myra Howard (Sumter, SC); sons, Antonio Baker and Johnathan King (Tacoma, WA); a daughter, Tyra Baker (Tacoma, WA); nephews, Jeremiah and Jerome Balance (Sumter, SC), Quentin Evans (Sumter, SC), Tevin Godette (Beauford, NC), Brian Evans (Pope AFB), Isaiah Bradshaw (Hope Mills, NC); nieces, Alysshia Hall and Aleena Martin both of Sumter, SC), Latouia Busbee (Fayetteville, NC), Shamira Baker (Greensboro, NC), Charity and Makenzie Harvey (Waldorf, MD) and Sandra Hunter (Apex, NC); and a host of relatives and friends.
