Obituary of Carol Diane Griffin

Diane Carol Griffin was born March 24, 1948 to Shirley Counce Gray and J.D. Gray in Danville, IL. She was the oldest of five siblings. Carol had a loving and kind soul, one that left an everlasting impression on those whose life she came in contact with. She had many passions in life, with BINGO being one of many. When we were younger, she used to take BINGO bus trips with her friends Martha Crawley and Willia Mae Collins. I’m sure, when they heard the news that God called her home, they made room for her at the table for a quick game of BINGO, for old times sake.

Carol passed away peacefully on June 21, 2019, in Tacoma, WA and it survived by her husband Roosevelt Griffin, children: Archie Moore (Linda Sharpe-Moore), Jacqueline Barksdale (James Barksdale Sr.), and Latrice Moore. She had 8 grandchildren: Artashia Wilson (Lewis Wilson Jr.), Antonio Moore, Caejawn Williams, Archie Moore III, Hasaun Moore, Keitra Brown, Elijah Brown, and James Barksdale Jr, along with three great grandchildren: Alyssa Spurill, Hasaun Moore Jr, and Aydenn Sanders. Preceded by her parents Shirley Counce Gray and J.D. Gray, her siblings: Juanita Orington (Gregory Orington Sr), Nancy Gray; preceded by Marva Thomas, and Melvin Gray. And many more loving family members and friends.
