Obituary of Bradley K Miller

Bradley K. Miller was born in Pasco Washington on March, 15th 1945 and passed away peacefully in his home in Auburn, Washington on April, 7th 2019 after a hard fought battle with liver cancer.  He was survived by the love of his life Victoria and children Brad Jr. & Jennifer. His grandchildren Anthony, Sarah, Victoria and Olivia. His brother Phil and extended family and friends.

Brad was born to Velma and Edward Miller in March of 1945. He grew up in El Sereno, California in the house that his father built with his mom, dad and brother Phil. Brad spent his childhood and teens years there where he attended Wilson High School before going off to war. As a kid Brad was lucky to build childhood friendships that lasted his whole lifetime with guys like Gary and Big Ed. No matter what, they always kept in touch and remained close. Brad was also loved throughout the neighborhood and you could always find him at Bob & Carmen’s or over at Lupe & Molly’s. In 1965 he enlisted in the US Marine Corps where soon after he was shipped off to the Vietnam war.

When Brad returned home from the war he met the love of his life Victoria. He married Victoria in May of 1977 in Alhambra, California. Soon after they started a life together and had three beautiful children, Brad Jr. April & Jennifer. They remained in Alhambra until moving to Washington state in the early 90’s.

After starting a family he began his career in the aerospace industry working as a screw machinist in Los Angeles. He always had the dream of working for himself so one day he decided to take his career path into his own hands, which led him to Auburn, Washington. That is where he spent the last twenty five years living the dream of being self employed and only living a few minutes away from work. One of his lifelong accomplishments and things he was most proud of was owning his own business. He loved to work and did so until he was physically unable to. He was one of the hardest working humans on the planet. He loved running his machines, drinking tea, smoking cigs and chatting it up with one of his best friends Bob.

Brad loved going on family vacations where he would enjoy fishing, prospecting, shooting guns, checking out old ghost towns, and camping. We always ended up on some kind of wild adventure no matter where we went.  He did a great job of making sure his family spent time in nature. Brad was also very social and he loved going out to the casino to play some slots or Blackjack. Christmas and the 4th of July were his favorite family holidays.  On these days he would buy mounds of fireworks and tons of presents. What Brad loved more than anything was his family. He took great pride and honor in providing for his family. Brad cherished spending quality time with his family, especially his grand kids and his dog Bitsy. He was devoted to his family and friends and everything from his contagious laugh to his creative and down to earth wit will be missed dearly.

His remains will be laid to rest with his daughter April and the rest will be scattered throughout his favorite places that he loved.

A celebration of life will be held June 8th, from 11 am to 1pm at the William C Warren Building at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Auburn, Washington.
