I knew Joaquin from the work he performed at the property management company. He soon became a friend to both me and my husband. He was the only one who came to visit my husband when he was deathly ill at the hospital. He couldn't find a place to park but that didn't deter him - he parked in a loading zone and hoped for the best. That was Joaquin. Fiercely loyal to friends and always hoping for the best. He shared many of his photos of the natural wonders in our area and he was a talented photographer. Joaquin was also a philosopher. He always stopped by my desk at work to see how I was doing and to share some inspiration and thoughts about life. He was a good cook. He barbequed ribs or chicken for many of our office parties and they were great! He was kind and caring and we will miss him so much.
