Obituary of Doretta Swain

Doretta was born in Aberdeen, SD Sept. 18, 1919 and passed away peacefully in Tacoma on December 11, 2005. She was preceded in death by 2 of her 3 husbands, Ken Swain, Phillip Schneider. Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Ken Scoggin of Tacoma; 2 sons, Greg (Barb) Swain of Lake Tapps, WA, K.B. (Debbie) Swain of Gig Harbor, WA; 2 brothers, Warren and Dean Berto; sister, Lorelei Minkler. Doretta lived her adult life in the Seattle-Tacoma area, Roseberg, OR, and Southern CA. She enjoyed being involved with charitable organizations, helping others and her most favorite pass times were playing bridge and fishing until complications from Alzheimer’s took her passions away.
