My heart goes out to all of the Porters. My sisters and I went to school with all the Porter kids. Karen was my sister- Kitty's best friend. We lost Adele several years ago and when you lose a sibling things just don't seem 'complete' for a long time after. God Bless all of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Ray - You are one of the greatest men to ever walk the face of the earth. You always knew how to make people feel good no matter how down they were. I will never forget how you always made me feel like I was your daughter. God - Daughter held a true meaning for you and for me and you never let me forget that, I will carry that always. I am forever greatful of the memories we had, the many casino trips, our Sunday night darts and all the many visits we got to share. I will never forget your beautiful smile and how it lit up the room when you walked in. You are truley a remarkable Man. I Love and miss you always. Aunt Donna I love you and I am here if you ever need ANYTHING!! You will never be forgotten and always in my heart!!!!!! Love Always, Tiffany

I knew Ray both personally and professionally. During high school I was one of Vernon's best friends. Then I began to teach in Bethel SD. I interacted with Ray many times. He always had a smile on his face. He loved his wife and children very much. He will be greatly missed.

I remember so many good things about Ray. When I was young he would play 1:00 ghost with Debbie and our friends. He was always doing for other people and helping whoever would ask. Ray was a great guy and loved by many. Donna, you are a great lady. I watched you take care of Ray and didn't complain. You were so thankful just to have another day with him. I admire your strengh and your love for your husband. May God Bless you in an amazing way and remember one day we will be together again.

What I remember most about Ray is playing 1:00 ghost when I was a kid. He was always the one doing something for someone else and thinking of other people. He has been my brother since I was 7. Donna you are a most amazing lady and the best sister anyone could ask for. I watch you take care of your husband never complaining just thankful you had another day with him. Your strength is an inspiration to me and I will always look up to you as my big sis. I love you and Ray with all my heart and I am so blessed that you both have been in my life. Ray is in heaven now and one day we will all be together again. I love you brother.

Donna and family, We wanted you to know that you are in our hearts and our prayers. Ray was a great person with a smile for those around him. He will be greatly missed in the Roy community. He will also be missed by those dart players who were fortunate enough over the years to have played with or against him. Jason and I are glad that we knew him and know that our feelings are shared by others.

My father in law was the most wonderful, caring and generous man, he always told me to keep my head up high and follow my heart even when I didnt think it was possable!I miss our early morning coffee talks on our front porch his contagouse sarcasim and most of all his wonderful way of always making you feel better, when I married his son he never treated me or my children any different it was like we had been a part of his family all along,he was such a wonderful grandpa always there if the kids needed anything,I know he is in a better place and he does'nt hurt anymore he walks with his father in the heavens and that is what I think about when I think of him now.I know my mother in law is so sad but I want her to know that no matter what life brings our way we will hold strong as a family and be there for one another always I love you daddy and miss you with all my heart. ALL MY LOVE! Your daughter christy.
