Ray was born on the prairie near Crawford Nebraska in 1913. His parents, Grant & Pearl (Broadhurst) Spearman, and his siblings, Rupert Spearman & Josephine (Spearman) Fernau preceded him in death. He will be remembered for being a kind friend, and gentle soul who loved to travel and spend time with his family.
