Jim profoundly touched our lives. His sense of humor brought joy and laughter into every situation. Some of his most endearing qualities were his kindness and generosity. Our lives will be forever blessed by Larrys favorite uncle. His memory will live on in our hearts with Love. ~Larry & Michelle

My deepest sympathy to Karen, Helen, Larry and the rest of the family. I spent many hours with Jim, Larry and Eddie. In early grade school we would take notes written by our mother' to the store to buy cigarettes. When asked if I smoke, I say I quit in the second grade. I was part of the kick the can group which ran over everyone's lawn on D street. Those were the best years of my life and Jim was a significant part of those years. I moved away from Tacoma and lost contact with Jim and therefore never met you Karen.

Our deepest condolances to all the O'Neill family. I have great memories of all us guys growing up together and all the fun we used to share in the old neighborhood. Jim was always fun to be around because of his great sense of humor and personality. He was always a good friend no matter how long it was between seeing each other. It is a great loss for all who knew him.

I had the honor of working alongside Jim in recent years and will remember his sense of humor and optimism. He often would share a good joke or fond memory which lightened our day to day cares. Jim always spoke highly of his wife Karen and looked forward to spending time with her and friends.

In 1950 my family rented the house across the street from the O'Neil's house on South D Street. They were the only family on the entire block with a television set and would graciously invite us over often to watch whatever was on. We spent many evenings playing kick the can in the street, playing war in the empty lot next to Anderson's house and even staged our own Daffodil Parade down the middle of D Street! To his family I offer my condolences and will keep you in my prayers. Jean Schmal

I was saddened by the passing of Jim. I went to elementary school at McCarver with him. I, too, was in the airline industry, Western and then Delta Airlines. I bumped into Jim about 25 years ago, probably at SEA-TAC. Just in the past three years McCarver has been having school reunions. In Mrs Wheatley's 2nd grade class, Jim and I are standing together in the 2nd row of the class picture. I've often wondered what ever happened to Jimmy O'Neill. I'll be sure to bring his memory to the next reunion. My condolences to the family. Sandra McLeod
