Uncle Bob was the greatest! Very few, but lasting memeories I have of him. Although, our families were spread by many many miles during my childhood, the few times we spent together will always have deep impacting memories I cherish. The stories Dad told of his childhood with Bob and Fred are forever chizeled in some of my most cherished memories and coveted deep in my heart. Life will go on far belong what each of us here understand. May the departed rejoice together until we all can join them in celebration someday. Eddi Jo Carillon [Bob's brother Deans' 5th child]

I am so glad that I was able to visit with Bob before I moved to Montana. He was alway a very kind and generous person. We shared some good times talking about our hobbies and the great time we had in Hawaii when he was in the Air Force. I will miss him very much. Doris Howard (Sister in Law)

My Uncle Bob was a great man, funny, competitive, & always challenging me. I know that if we had lived closer, and not several states apart, we probably would have had many more wonderful memories. As a sophomore I stayed with the Howards for a month. Whoever lost a challenge had to do dishes. Bob spent a lot of time in front of the sink. Aunt Donna and I had some good laughs. Bowling, memory tests, parking the car correctly after he had pulled it into the garage sideways, and many more. With my husband, Bill, we stayed with the Howards in Hawaii. We had a wonderful time sifting the sand for pooka shells. They introduced us to snails, showed us the island sites, and we enjoyed the comfort of their home. I will always remember Uncle Bob as very caring and fun loving.

My condolences to the Howard family. The loss of a family members is a very difficult time during our lives. I knew Bob Howard and his family during the 1980's. I was friends with his daughters Shelly and Bobbie. Bob would buy firewood from me every fall, I think mostly to help me out. I remember he would tease me when my beard got too long and he would tell me I was looking like Abe Lincoln. To this day, anytime my beard gets long, I remember him telling me that and I get out the trimmer. He one time gave me some really good advice to stay in high school and because of him, I did and I graduated, I am not sure I would have otherwise. I haven't seen Bob in many years, but he will never be forgotten. God Bless and prayers are with your family.

Uncle Bob Was always a pleasure to talk to with; his witty way of words he would make you laugh about the littlest things. He was very proud of his daughters and his wife, Donna, and was not afraid to show his love to them (and for a Howard that was pretty good.) I spent the last few days of his life visiting him. It was a pleasure to be there for him and his family. I only wish I would have spent more time there in the years past. Before he passed he gave me a very special gift that I will always treasure, I will think of him often. He loved to display his knife collection at the gun shows in Puyallup. On occasion I would go there and visit for awhile. His knowledge of knives was fun to listen to, I think he had a story for every knife. Uncle Bob will be missed by all, but his memories will be cherished forever. Love always, Mark (Brother Dean & Doris Howard's son)

We feel so sad when those we love are called to live in the home above, But why should we grieve when they say good-bye and go to dwell in a cloudless sky? For they have but gone to prepare the way, and we'll meet them again some happy day, For God has told us that nothing can sever a life HE created to live forever. So let God's promise soften our sorrow and give us new strength for a brighter tomorrow. Our Class of '54' is so special, as we keep in touch with our classmates and care so for each one. May God Bless and keep you in your time of sorrow. Love Yvonne

I graduated with Bob from Auburn hi. Iremember him most for his pole vaulting in track. I also remember the contest we had during gym classes where we would have a contest to see which one of us could cover the length of the basketball court the fastest walking on our hands, I never beat him Bob was a pleasure to know during our school years and am sorry we were not able to continue our friendship after school..

Bob was one of my older cousins and with him being out of the state while we were growing up I didn't get a chance to really get to know him or his family. My prayers are with all of his family during this sad time. Remember the wonderful memories that you all had together for it will help with the grieving. I know that when I see my moms handwritting on something I get a nice warm feeling in my heart knowing that we had so many good times together. It was alway good to see Bob at our family reunions at Lake Sawyer. Our prayers are with you all. Ralph and Michelle Smith (The #4 daughter of Margie and Merlyn Chavis)

I am truely sorry that I was unable to visit with Bob before leaving for Az. I recall the times we spent together wearing sleveless red sweat shirt with Jack McDainiels as the three Musketeers. Also, firing his dad's collections of old Western revolveers and not able to his a tin can on a fence post. Also, visiting with Bob and his wife at Hickman Air Force Base. The years have past by to quickly for all of us in the class of 1954. We have missed each other, but have never forgotten the wild and fun times of our youth. Bob is probably flexing his bicepts in a better place now. I will never forget him and he will be missed. Luke.
