Obituary of Lillian Joan Brown

Loving Wife and Mother, Lillian Joan Brown went to meet her Lord Jesus on June 18th,2007. Please join us for a celebration of Lillian's life, Saturday, June 30th at 1 PM to 6PM. Lillian was born January 24, 1939 in Roseburg, Oregon to James and Irene Homolko. She graduated Springfield High School in 1957 and attended Southern Oregon College of Education in Ashland, Oregon. In 1961, she married Claude Brown.They resided in Oregon, Alaska,Montana, and for the last 30 years in Washington. She workined in administrative support positions, initially for Eugene Blue Print in Oregon, Environmental Health Department and Department of Elections for the State of Alaska; and the Frank Russell Company, Tacoma, Washington. She retired in 1996. In addition to her job outside the home, she helped run the family business as well as raise thier two sons. Once the boys were grown, Claude and Lillian devoted thier time and focus to running a float business and working as volunteers with the Puyallup Valley Daffodil Festival. She was the 1991 First Lady of teh Daffodil Festival where she and claude made many life long friends. Lillian enjoyed reading, crocheting, travel, family and especially her cats, birds,& squirrels. In 2006, she fufilled her 40 year dream trip when she and Claude traveled to New Zealand for 21 days and Australia for 43 days, covering more than 9,200 land miles in the 2 beautiful countries. She said the trip lived up to her greatest expectations. Photos and a log of the trip can be seen at www.caston4ponds.com She left behind a dedicated life long love, best friend and husband of 45 years, Claude Brown, her two sons Clint Brown of Port Orchard, and Kevan Brown, Seattle. She is also survived by sisters Barbara Reed, Katherine Whitney, and brother James Homolka, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
