Obituary of Nathaniel Haughton

Nathaniel Haughton, born June 5, 1952, was the second and youngest child born to Robert and Theodosia Haughton. Nathaniel confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at the Church of God under the care of Pastorate Elder Willie E. Gordon. Nathaniel received his primary education from the Chicago Public School system and later moved from Chicago and graduated from St. Anne High School located in St. Anne, Illinois. He was known for his outstanding patriotism and served 20 years in the U.S. Army. Upon his retirement, Nathaniel established his residence in Washington State where he met and married his wife of 11 years, Parrish (Bell) Haughton. Nathaniel was a generous man willing to help others in need. Nathaniel departed this life on November 10, 2005 at his home in Lakewood, WA surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Parrish Haughton of Lakewood, WA; 2 Step-sons, Ali Soliman of Lakewood, WA, Jamel (Shari) Soliman of Lakewood, WA; mother, Theodosia Haughton of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Robert Haughton of Glenwood, Illinois; aunt, Lillie Hunt of Harvey, Illinois; grandson, Gary Soliman of Lakewood, WA; and numerous cousins. Visitation to be held 3-7 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Edwards Memorial Center, 3005 Bridgeport Way W., University Place, WA 98466, (253) 566-1008.
