Obituary of Diane Marie Parrott

Diane Marie Parrott (Ianniciello) was born on June 29, 1948 in Seattle, Washington to Anthony Ianniciello and Dolores Kenodel, both which whom have passed away. She grew up with her older brother Joe Ianniciello, also deceased, and her two younger sisters, Debbie Ianniciello and Toni Lee Dale (Ianniciello). She graduated from Rainer Beach High School class of 1966. Diane’s young life consisted of helping with the Italian family produce business, being active in her church activities, attending numerous dance functions, and hanging out with friends and family. Soon after high school Diane met Randy Parrott and they both decided to tie the knot on September 20, 1968. They spent seven years together before having their first child, Deanna Marie Parrott. A year and a half later the surprise of girl and boy twins entered their lives, Angela Marie Parrott and Jeffrey Lee Parrott. Diane managed to always make the house a home by raising her children with the utmost pride of motherhood. Great home cooked meals, family and friends to share in laughs, and always welcoming everyone into her home was Diane’s forte. Throughout the years Diane also made a home in the islands of Hawaii with her family. She continued to visit Hawaii every year and it became one of her greatest treasures in life. Her family oriented personality showed through in her choice of employment. She worked at Children’s Corner, a clothing store for kids, for many years and then eventually became a full time nanny for numerous families. Once all the children had grown, Diane’s happy-go-lucky personality and long time enthusiasm for horseracing brought her to her final place of employment, Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington. Diane not only loved thoroughbred horses she truly enjoyed her job as a group hostess. Being the energetic, enthusiastic, and vibrant lady she was Diane found great pleasure working with large groups of people and businesses. Over the years she gained many friendships inside and outside her workplace. In 2004, Diane was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer which eventually metastasized to her liver. She fought extremely hard to beat the cancer and at the same time always conveyed a positive, vivacious spirit. Her spirit touched many hearts and gave hope to everyone around her including all her fellow breast cancer friends. Sadly this horrible disease took her from all of us on July 9, 2006. She passed peacefully in her home with her immediate family by her side. Diane will be missed considerably by everyone she knew including her three cats and guinea pig. She requested a celebration of her life for all to attend. In honor of her, Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington and her family will be having an evening celebration on Sunday, August 27, 2006. Per her wishes, Diane will be cremated and some of her ashes will be scattered among the Hawaiian waters during a Hawaiian ceremony. For all who wish to give in memory of Diane please send all gifts to the Parrott residence which in turn will be used for her celebration of life party.
