Marty spent most of his childhood in Compton, CA with his beautiful mother and his younger sister Honor, while his father was in the US Air Force. The family eventually moved to Orange County where he attended Anaheim High School. Marty played varsity football, and graduated in 1963. He later attended the University of Arizona and played on the Wildcats football team. He graduated in 1968 with a BS in Biology. After graduating, he worked as a pharmaceutical representative for several years before launching his own business as an independent real estate appraiser; and known as the “Hutch Man.” In 1984, he met Sandra Yvonne Clark in Fullerton CA and eventually married in 1990 in San Diego, California. As the family expanded with marriages and the arrival of grandchildren, he enjoyed the family gatherings. He loved to watch his girls play sports and never missed a game, match, or practice. He was always proud of their activities and accomplishments and was their number one fan. Aubreigh played soccer in HS and Cal Lutheran University and graduated with Honors in 2005 with a Bachelor in Marketing and a minor in Art. Brooke played volleyball in HS and is attending Nova Southeastern University, working towards her Doctorate in Pharmacy and will graduate in 2009. Marty enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was a great storyteller and shared many wonderful stories. He always managed to bring out the best in everyone around him. He loved to socialize, dance and he sang a mean karaoke – Black Velvet was his number one hit! Marty’s favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because he felt it was “always a great day”. Marty had many interests in the outdoors and loved fishing, crabbing, and being out on his boat. They owned a house in Rosarito Beach in Mexico, where they spent many vacation days with their family. Marty and Sandra enjoyed traveling and trips to the Colorado River, where they had a travel trailer. Marty was an amazing friend and confidant, maintaining relationships going back to his elementary years. Marty was a spiritual man who believed high morals and values were essential in everyday life. Each evening when he would tuck his girls in and would pray with them: Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to keep; If I should die before I wake; I pray the Lord my soul to take, AMEN. GOD BLESS everyone in the whole wide world. Thursday morning, October 18, 2007, Marty peacefully went to be with the Lord with his “fishing” angels in tow. His immediate family quickly gathered to be with one another in this time of their loss. Marty will be loved and remembered by Sandra his beloved wife, by his sister Honor, and his nieces Tiffany and Gina, nephew Nathan. And beautiful children and spouses: Brooke Hutchison, Aubreigh Hutchison, Susan Sullivan, Lynne Wood, Allan and Cynthia Avis, David and Linda Pyle, Michael and Shannon Pyle, and his awesome bunch of grandchildren: Steven and Trevor Lookebill, Jennifer, Kristen, and Melissa Laster, Brittney, Alex and Nick Avis, Dillon, Tyler, and Austin Pyle, Terry, Justin, Shane and Alyssalynne Pyle, two great grandchildren Thomas and Lylli, and his beloved mother in law, Kathleen Clark, who is here from Brighton, England; his friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
