Kelly K. Cleveland-Kirkpatrick, 53 years old, from Puyallup, Washington, had been battling cervical cancer and passed away peacefully on August 28, 2008, in her house, surrounded by her family and friends. She went home to be with her heavenly father and loved ones. Kelly “the Brave” was born on December 6, 1954, in Shelton, Washington. She graduated from Bethel High School. She enjoyed working, spending most of her time helping others. Kelly was a member of Kent Lutheran Church. She lived most of her life in Western Washington. Kelly had the gift for life and loved everything life had to offer. She was something special to everyone. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, mentor, and a friend to many. Kelly was honest, courageous and always lived in the moment. She had a one of a kind sense of humor and a straight forward attitude that everyone recognized. Most of all she was fun loving and loved living life to the fullest. Kelly never gave up the will to live nor did she ever lose hope. She enjoyed traveling, making people laugh, being a mother, and most of all being a grandmother. She also enjoyed the outdoors, crossword puzzles, reading, and playing games with her grandchildren. She was very giving and always put others first. Kelly touched the lives of those close to her and will be missed by all. She will always hold a special place in our hearts that can never be replaced. She is survived by husband, Bruce, her two daughters, Jenny and Sarah, her two grandchildren, Payton and Jonathan, son-in law Dave, her sister Shelly, brothers, Tyke and Carl, and best friend of over 40 years, Diane. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Kyla. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at 2:00 pm at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 2nd Avenue South Kent, WA 98032.
