Obituary of Barbara Dell Steele

Our beloved Mother Barbara Dell Steele left this Earth to be at peace in Heaven on December 16, 2007. She was born on July 30, 1946 in Winona, Mississippi. Barbara is survived by her companion Michael Tramm of 19 years, sons Michael, Shane, and Tristan Steele, granddaughter Megan and husband Isaiah Lennox; grandson Michael Steele, Jr., great-grandsons Dillan and Blake Lennox, half-sister Melana Furlong and half-brother Tom Furlong, all of Tacoma. Barb invested all of her heart and soul into everything she did. She was an incredibly talented cook, and we wish she could have opened her own restaurant. Barb had an excellent sense for fashion as well, and loved to show off her latest look. Even strangers would want to know where she got her "outfit". It is no wonder that people were attracted to Barb. She was outgoing, vivacious, and pure of heart, and that, combined with her compassion for others, made her very special and unique. We, your family and friends, are very thankful for the special times throughout your life that you shared with us. "Barbie" you're Simply the Best! You will be missed more than you'll ever know. For the rest of our days, our hearts will weigh heavy in remembrance of you: our mother, grandmother, companion and friend. We await the day we see your smiling face, big blue eyes, golden hair, and feel your warm embrace. We love you with all our hearts, all the way to the moon! Viewing will be held at Edwards Memorial Center on December 27th between 4:00 and 8:00 pm at 3005 Bridgeport Way West, University Place. Please see this obituary at edwardsmemorial.com and visit the guestbook to leave a memory of Barbara. The memorial service, with reception following, will be held at Puyallup Nazarene Church at 1026 7th Avenue S.W. in Puyallup on January 7, 2008 at 1:00 pm.
