Boyces Washington, born in Warrior , Alabama on 29 April, 1911 passed on January 8, 2007, a loving father to six children Dock(Blanche), Robert(Maxine), Bobby(Yvonne), Boyces Jr. Washington all of Buffalo, New York and Jacqueline Gaines(James) Lakewood, WA and Carol Johnson(Frankie) of Spanaway, WA. Boyces leaves a loving sister Mabel Cammon of Piedmont, Oklahoma, 13 grand children and 12 great-grand children, a host of special nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Special Friends Melvin Gordon, Frank Frisson, Irene & Toby Bensinger all of Washington, and Alberia Hill of Buffalo, NY. He loved to fish, visit with friends and family and listen to gospel music and attending church services. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Warrior, Alabama. Boyces Lived in Buffalo, New York for over thirty years and worked in coal mines, steel mills, security, cooking, custodian, etc. and retired from The State University of New York at Buffalo, in 1976. Boyces was a member of the Free Spirit Missionary Church in Buffalo, New York but attended St. John’s Baptist Church the past twenty years while residing in Washington. Thanks to the Wonderful staff of Franciscan Hospice especially his nurses Cheryl and Cathy Thompson and Social Worker Linda Knudson, and Chaplain Natasha. Services will be held in Buffalo, New York on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 and a Memorial Service to be announced for Tacoma, Washington. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
