Obituary of James Arthur Beshaler

He did it his way at “8510” Jim was born in Tacoma, WA on March 14, 1930 to parents Harry and Lola Beshaler. He died from Alzheimer’s Disease at home on October 24, 2008. He was a resident of the Midland area his entire life and attended Midland School and Lincoln High School. He was a plumber by trade and for several years was part-owner of Union Plumbing Co. Jim loved horse racing and had been a race horse owner. He also enjoyed playing golf and was an excellent pool player. But most of all, he loved to be at home surrounded by his family. Jim is survived by Marian (Loucks), his wife of 59 years; son James, Jr. (Nancy Ann); daughters Diana Boutwell, Donna (Jerry) Olson, Debra Beshaler and Nancy Beshaler-Gross (Jim Gross); grandchildren Jami and Joel Boutwell, Heidi and Eric (Telma) Olson, Ileana Beshaler and Marianna Brown; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Lorraine (Jack) Peterson and sister-in-law Vivian Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother William (Bill) Beshaler. Many thanks to daughter Debbie for her help in caring for her Dad the past few years as his disease progressed. No services will be held, but there will be a no-host gathering for family and friends at Cassidy’s Pub in Midland on Thursday, October 30th beginning at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jim’s memory to the Alzheimer Association or your favorite charity. Jim was the center of a close, loving family and will be greatly missed.
