Obituary of Jerry Don James
Jerry Don James of University Place, Washington was born in Columbus, Georgia on March 15, 1962 and passed away suddenly on December 26, 2006 at the age of 44.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Cynthia; 7 children, Jasmine and Steven, Skylar, Seth, Patric, Dakota and Ali-cia; mother, Janice Logan of Lindale, Texas; sisters, Lynn of Valley, Alabama and Connie of Hazel Park, Michigan; brother, Robert of Tulsa, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews, foster children and friends.
Graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, Jerry served 9 ½ years with the Air Force. After his honorable discharge he worked for 14 years with Kenworth and Paccar of Renton, Washington.
Jerry loved his family, animals, nature, and learning the customs of his Cherokee heritage. Loved by many people, he was dubbed “Jesse” by his Air Force squadron “Big Dog” by the transportation industry, and “Mother Earth Prayer Cloth Man” by the Texas Cherokee Nation.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 1/2/2007 at the Lakeview Congregational Chapel, 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service and reception will follow.
