Obituary of Jeanne Ader

Jeanne passed away peacefully at home with her son by her side on Wed. Aug. 13th 2008 at the age of 85. She was born in Tacoma on Sept. 27th 1922. Upon graduation from Lincoln High School in 1942, she began working for the phone co. formally known as Pac. Northwest Bell where she retired after 44 years. After retirement, she continued to stay active by taking classes in sewing and tailoring classes at Bates. She enjoyed luncheons and going to the movies with her friends. She was an avid reader with the Tacoma Public Libraries being her second home. She enjoyed traveling and had fond memories of her trips overseas. She also had a tremendous love for cats. Jeanne never gave up the will to live nor did she ever lose hope. She was a wonderful mother. Jeanne’s husband, Arnie passed away in Aug. 1970. She is survived by her two sons, Brian and Stephen, her sister Yvonne and her husband Frank Olsen. Graveside service will be held on Tues. Aug. 26th at 11:00am at the Old Tacoma Cemetery, 4801 S. Tacoma Way, Tacoma WA 98409 with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Susan G Komen foundation at wwwkomendonations.org for breast cancer.
